Mr. O’Rourke is a Managing Director at HPS Investment Partners. Prior to joining HPS in 2024, Mr. O’Rourke was a Senior Managing Director and Head of Real Estate Investments at Guardian Life Insurance from 2003 to 2024, where he oversaw all commercial mortgage lending and real estate equity investment activity. including the oversight of Guardian’s majority ownership interest in TruAmerica Multifamily and Broadshore Capital Partners. Prior to Guardian, Mr. O’Rourke held various positions in MetLife’s Investments department from 1995 to 2002. Mr. O’Rourke held prior roles at Robert O’Rourke Inc. and Metmor Financial (a wholly owned subsidiary of MetLife). Mr. O’Rourke holds a BA in Real Property Valuation and Urban Economics from the University of Connecticut at Storrs and an MS in Real Estate Evaluation from New York University, a CRE designation from the Counselors of Real Estate and an MAI designation from the Appraisal Institute.
