Mr. Stempler is a Managing Director at HPS Investment Partners.  Prior to joining HPS in 2010, Mr. Stempler was a Director with Capstone Advisory Group, where he provided financial restructuring and advisory services to both debtor and creditor-side clients.  Prior to joining Capstone, Mr. Stempler was a Vice President in Citigroup's Global Special Situations Group, a credit-focused, on-balance sheet proprietary investment fund. Within Citigroup Global Special Situations, Mr. Stempler was responsible for the origination, research and execution of private equity, mezzanine, and senior debt investments.  Prior to joining the Global Special Situations Group, Mr. Stempler worked in a variety of capacities at Citigroup, including Asset Based Lending, Leveraged Loan Syndications and Technology, Media & Communications Banking.  Mr. Stempler holds a BBA from the University of Michigan.
