Mr. Tam is a Managing Director at HPS Investment Partners.  Prior to joining HPS in 2008, Mr. Tam spent four years as a Partner at the publicly traded private debt fund, Apollo Investment Corporation, where he focused on sourcing, due diligence and structuring unitranche, mezzanine, and equity co-investments. Prior to joining Apollo in 2004, Mr. Tam spent 11 years at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, where he focused primarily on corporate finance transactions including mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, and restructurings. Mr. Tam spent the last four years in their mezzanine fund,  DLJ Investment Partners, where he was responsible for sourcing, due diligence and structuring mezzanine and equity co-investments.  Mr. Tam holds a BS in Operations Research/Industrial Engineering and an MBA in Finance from Cornell University.
